Federal Tax Incentive Rebate Documents Information
Thank you for choosing Harvey windows. It is our understanding that the IRS requires certain documents to be kept on file by the consumer when claiming a Federal Tax Incentive Rebate. If you are planning to file for a rebate for Harvey windows, please note the following:
NFRC Labels:
Harvey attaches a unique NFRC label to each window it manufactures as the product is made. This label gives the energy ratings for that particular product. These labels should be removed and retained by the consumer once the windows are installed and serve as documentation on the qualifying rating for the window performance.
Manufacturers Certification Statement:
As a substitute to NFRC labels, Harvey provides a Manufacturers Certification Statement, which is also acceptable for other energy rebates. We have provided links to the Statements we have available below:

Purchased January 1, 2009 to May 31, 2009 - Manufacturer’s Certification – Harvey Windows & Patio Doors
Purchased after June 1, 2009 - Manufacturer’s Certification – Harvey Storm Windows
- Harvey Storm Doors - Harvey Building Products will not be providing a Manufacturer’s Certification Statement for Storm Doors.

- Manufacturer’s Certification – Roofing
IRS Tax Forms:
Homeowners should contact their tax preparer or the IRS directly for Form 5695. Harvey does not provide tax forms.
Receipts:
You should retain an itemized invoice provided solely by the contracting company or retailer that clearly identifies what qualifying products were purchased and the cost for each product, not including labor. The value of the products purchased is determined by the company you purchased the windows from. Harvey does not have pricing information for consumer purchases.
Please note: The IRS shifted its policy on what windows can qualify for the new federal tax credits established by the ARRA. All Energy Star qualifying windows could be eligible for up to $1500 in federal tax credits if purchased before June 1st. After June 1st, only windows with U and SHGC values of .30 or below will qualify. As always, you should consult your tax professional for a definitive assessment of this program.
